"Lilith in Pisces" at New York Theater Festival

Kayla’s play, Lilith in Pisces, will be running at the Hudson Guild Theater as part of the New York Theater Festival’s annual SummerFest 2019! Kayla will be performing the role of Erin in the 70 minute story of two women who discover that a shared history and astrological sign might just beget a kind of bond they never knew they needed. The show will receive three performances in August 2019! Stay tuned for more details!

Kayla spent the day filming the lead in a short film “The Bedroom Town,” written and directed by Kathryn Kunkle, as a film project for Fordham University. Kayla played Madison, the daughter of a woman brutally murdered by her husband’s disgruntled employee. Stay tuned for the release of the film!

Kayla participates in a reading of The Art of the Hustle, a film by Annette Alicanti - currently in pre-production. "Anna, an affluent housewife and mother trapped in an abusive marriage, seeks refuge in the intoxicatingworld of Hustle dancing. She gets more than she bargained for when she finds love in the arms of fast-talking Donnie, a predatory, psychopathic, Romeo who convinces her that he’s the man of her dreams. "Kayla read the role of Krissy, Anna's best friend and confidant.

As the Rep season at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival comes to a close (performing in both The Comedy of Errors and A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Kayla is delighted to be working on the world premiere of a new play, Starstruck, which is a part of this year’s Southern Writers’ Project at ASF. Written by the legendary Lucille Lichtblau, Starstruck follows Eva Goldenberg (played by Kayla) and her family as they navigate the distinction between their fantasies and realities in the midst of World War II and the Holocaust.

Kayla tours Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors throughout the Southeast as Emilia and the Officer. The production features the Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s Acting Apprentice Company, under the direction of the incomparable Greta Lambert.
