writer, actor, goofy lil bitch

Kayla is a Brooklyn based, multidisciplinary performer, writer, and comedian. Her plays, sketches, and other musings have been developed and performed at the Hudson Guild Theater, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Paradise Factory, Dixon Place, Relative Theatrics, and Playwrights Downtown. Her play, Lilith in Pisces, was nominated for Best Play at the 2019 New York Theater Festival Awards and her original pilot, Delta Dawn, was a quarterfinalist in the Austin Film Festival screenplay competition. As a performer, she’s played on the stages of ASF, the Gene Frankel Theater, La Mama, The Wild Project, Playwrights Downtown, Skirball, Paradise Factory, the Brick, UCB, and the PIT. She frequently performs characters and improv at venues all around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Sometimes though, you’ll find her drinking green tea and watching reruns of Everybody Loves Raymond in her cozy Crown Heights apartment (Doris Roberts 4ever).
